English: Stobi, Macedonia: the roman theatre.
The information board shown in the foreground tells us:
THE ANTIQUE THEATER
It was built at the end of the II or at the beginning of the III c. AD. It could accomodate over 7600 spectators. At the end of the III c. AD it was converted into an area for gladiators’ shows. It was deserted in the V c. AD and as a result during the following years demolished in order to build other structures.
