English: Stocks Farm and the Shepherd's Hut The lane leading up to Stocks Cottages (formerly known as 'Blackhouse) and Old Winchester Hill. The Shepherd's Hut was used during lambing and had a fireplace. Weak lambs or those whose mothers had died would be brought into the warm and fed there. |
