Summary edit
DescriptionStogumber, Kingswood Mill - geograph.org.uk - 91326.jpg |
English: Stogumber: Kingswood Mill. Unoccupied when this photograph was taken in 1996, the mill has since been converted to a private residence. The low breastshot waterwheel has been restored and mill machinery is thought to have been retained. Seen from a public footpath. The footbridge crosses the Doniford Stream which, by means of a leat, provided the power for the mill. There was a mill on the site in 1613; milling ceased before the First World War |
