Description
English: Daishinji Temple. This Jodo sect buddhist temple was originally called Kangiin and built in Edo (present day Tokyo) in 1634 by Tokugawa Mitsutomo, 1625-1690 the second lord of the Owari han seigniory, in order to perform memorial services for his deceased mother. It was moved here in 1661 and renamed Daishinji.
