English: View of the south facade of Stowe House, Buckinghamshire. The central portion of the house was built between 1677 and 1683 and the wings between 1720 and 1733. The south front, one of the finest examples of neoclassical architecture in Britain, was remodelled between 1771 and 1779. It is 140 metres (460 feet) in length. |
