Deutsch: Am Badestrand von Wangerooge, im östlichen Teil, blickt man nach Westen. Die übliche Strömungs- und Windrichtung ist in dieser Richtung. Dadurch wandert der Strand in Blickrichtung von einem fort. Wo Buhnen die Bewegung behindern, lagert sich der Sand an einer Seite (Luv) ab und der Strand fällt dann mit einer Stufe in Richtung Lee ab. Das Fachwort für diese Bewegung ist Strandversetzung. Im Englischen spricht man vom sogenannten Longshore drift. Der Film hier zeigt auch verschiedene kurzfristig wechselnde Frequenzen mit denen Wellen das Ufer erreichen. Auch sieht man kurzfristig stark schwankende Reichweiten einzelner Wellen. Ein anderer physikalischer Effekt am Strand behandelt die Geschwindigkeit, Frequenz und Länge von Wellen. |
