Description
English: Stream at House Carr Bridge This was the stream that flooded with such devastating consequences for the children who were trapped in the Huskar Pit. Twenty Six children lost their lives on the 4th July 1838 when a freak storm, with massive hailstones, caused the stream to flood and surge into the pit workings.
