Summary
editDescriptionStreet Scene at Lacock - geograph.org.uk - 1523982.jpg |
English: Street Scene at Lacock Lacock is a Wiltshire village, some 3 miles (5 km) from Chippenham. The village, owned almost in its entirety by the National Trust, attracts many visitors by virtue of its period buildings, though their appearance is much spoiled by parked vehicles and traffic cones. Most of its surviving houses are of 18th century or earlier construction, which makes the village a target for film and television producers. Some notable examples of the film-maker's art based on Lacock are the BBC productions of 'Pride and Prejudice' (1995) and of 'Cranford' (2007). |
