Description
Deutsch: Strehla.Nixstein 2018. Ein breiter Granitfelsen: der Nixstein. Er ragte früher in einer Breite von über acht Metern (sechzehn Ellen) bis zur Mitte des Flusses aus dem Wasser. Versuche, den Nixstein in der Elbe in den Jahren 1870, 1904, 1908, 1911 und 1929 wegzusprengen, waren nicht sehr erfolgreich, bis im Jahr 1936 große Sprengungen unter Wasser schließlich eine gefahrlose Schifffahrt ermöglichten. Bei diesen Sprengungen entstanden Wassersäulen von sechzig bis achtzig Metern Höhe.
