Description The two port spaces at the rear are for a pair of locking Neutrik USB sockets -- embedded so that the rear is flush to the back. Its now a very low profile device. Just 30mm (by 600 x 280mm) -- approx 6.5kg of ally remains after it's all been hewn out of the 618 x 300 billet. The tallest point is 27mm from solder to IDC connector! so only a 100mm x 70mm well has been allowed (immediately behind the USB Socket holes). Everything else is designed to not flex or warp or twist -- the fader channels offering a lot of front to back and diagonal stability. The sockets connect to the Arduinos by a short 6" cable. I am using USB B (Square "Printer" sockets) externally. Again, no internal hubs. I want all powered hubs for these external for practical and space saving reasons and anyway you don't save on cabling: 1 USB & Power (plus a need for a powered Hub and PSU inside) vs 2 x USB.
