Sykehjemmet består av to avdelinger, med plass til 38 brukere med behov for langtidsopphold. Bygningen er oppført 1924 og istandsatt 1990. I underetasjen har Persaunet legesenter lokaler. Strinda sykehus, tidligere sykehus i Persaunvegen 54, oppført 1924 av Strinda kommune, som sykehus for tuberkuløse og pasienter som krevde mindre behandling. Det ble omdannet til regulært sykehus 1934, og nedlagt 1991. Bygningene var allerede fra 1990 suksessivt overtatt av Persaunet sykehjem.
