English: A unique preparation of Punjab, India made of bitter gourd (Karela) which is prepared with a raw mango stuffing and then deep frying then cooked with sliced onions. Bitter gourd is supposed to be good for people suffering from diabetes, though it is not liked by many due to its bitter taste but this Punjabi style of cooking it reduces its bitterness a lot and turns it into a delicious accompaniment to be eaten with chapati or naan. |
