Description
English: For 2012, Subaru's small car, the Impreza, gets redesigned, except for the high-performance WRX variant which keeps the old body style.

Subaru's US models offer standard all-wheel-drive, and are popular in snowbelt states. They also are very driveable, partly because of the all-wheel-drive and partly because of the low center of gravity. The additional weight and fuel economy penalty would be the main drawbacks in owning a Subaru, but this particular model does very well, getting 27 miles per gallon in the city and 36 on the highway.

At $22,000 including the alloy wheels and CVT, this is quite affordable too (though I would save money/headache by choosing manual transmission).

I am old-fashioned, and like cars that are built in the manufacturer's home country with as much domestic part content from that country as possible; that minimizes potential problems from supply chain problems, quality control across different operating cultures, and such. On that front, there is no car that will top the Impreza, which is made in Ota Gunma, Japan, using 100% Japanese parts content.

Combined with Subaru USA's well-targeted LGBT marketing, this looks like the perfect ride for a fun-loving lesbian who needs to travel somewhere with her cats and gear. That would be yours truly.
