Summary edit

Description
English: Summit of King's Seat Hill, The Ochils The origin of the name is unknown. Perhaps a corruption of the Gaelic, Ceann - Head, and Suidhe - Seat. It is however believed that King Malcolm Canmore did hunt here. The photo shows the summit cairn on the left at 2,111 feet, and rock shelter on the right whilst in the distance between is Ben Cleuch. A superb viewpoint on this occasion it was outstanding with St. Andrew's Bay visible at 39 miles; May Island 46 miles; Tinto Hill 41 miles. Even the hills of Arran clearly visible poking through a hollow in the Campsies at an incredible 70 miles and the Arrochar Alps 41 miles.
