Summary edit

Description

The sundial on top of the Parnidis dune in Neringa, Lithuania. Each step around it represents one hour of the day.

The sundial was erected at this location, 53 meters above sea level, in 1995, because from here one can see the Sun rise from the Curonian lagoon in the east and set over the Baltic Sea in the west. The sundial blew down during a hurricane in 1999 but has since been re-erected.
