Last light of sunset. The mountains are waiting…

With the highest mountain, longest glacier and the darkest skies, Aoraki Mt Cook National Park is a must-visit both day and night! The national park is in the centre of South Island, where backpackers visit for the some of the most impressive mountain walks in New Zealand. There’s everything you could want from glacier lakes scattered with icebergs to long vertical heli skiing runs.
