Summary edit

Description

A rare remnant of the Jazz Age, the Sunset Cafe was an uncommon desegregated "Black & Tan" club, an establishment which served both black and white patrons. Built as a garage in 1909, in 1921 it was remodeled as a dance venue and jazz club.

In 1928 it was 25% owned by Al Capone.
