English: Sunset at Hartland Quay. This is a view of the sun setting over the North Atlantic Ocean, at Hartland Quay in Devon. This stretch of the British coastline has been the cause of a number of shipwrecks over the centuries -- the nearby Wreckers' Retreat bar has a map showing the location of tens of sunk ships, including some sizeable Royal Navy vessels. To see the same view for yourself, wander towards the waterside from the bar, veering left onto a small promontory that overlooks these dramatic rocks. |
