Description
English: Vällugn is a type of furnace for heating the iron blocks to be rolled in the hot rolling process in the rolling mill. It was used in Swedish iron works from 1845 to about 1950. Surahammar iron works museum, Surahammar, Sweden.
Svenska: Gasvällugn med värmeåtervinningsapparat. Här matades smältstycken (ca 150 kg) in längst till vänster. De vändes och flyttades successivt nedåt höger där det är varmare. Detta är förvärmning före varmvalsning till stångjärn. Surahammars bruksmuseum, Surahammar.
