Summary

edit
Description
English: Sursock Palace in Beirut's Achrafieh area. This palatial villa was built by Moussa Dimitri Sursock around 1870, and inhabited by his son Alfred Sursock, and granddaughter Yvonne Sursock Lady Cochrane. It was most likely built by masons from Mount Lebanon, and has Italianate features. Photo was taken several months after the 2020 Beirut port explosion, in which the palace was heavily damaged.
