Description The previous Sussex Pad Inn on the Lancing Road (now A27), Sussex. which burned down 26 October 1905. While living at Charmandean, Broadwater, Sussex, philanthropist Ann Thwaytes used to follow a ritual at full moon of dressing in white and driving past this inn.
