English: Swanston Village Picturesque Swanston village sits directly beneath the Pentland Hills on the southern boundary of Edinburgh. In 1964, in one of its more inspired decisions, Edinburgh Council renovated these former farmworkers cottages and retained the original thatched roofs. Nearby is Swanston Cottage where Robert Louis Stevenson lived from 1867 - 1880. |
