Nord SS.10, French wire-guided anti-tank missile

Summary edit

Description
English: Nord Aviation SS.10 missiles, mounted on the Swedish Navy torpedo boat HMS Altair (T108), docked at Karlskrona Naval Base. Despite the SS.10 being an anti-tank missile, it was tested by the Swedish Navy as an anti-ship missile, with the purpose of taking out Warsaw Pact landing crafts. Ultimately the Nord SS.11 was chosen over the SS.10 because of its longer range. The SS.11 went into service with the Swedish Navy in 1958, with the Swedish designation Robot 53.
