English: A Texas Army National Guard paratrooper assigned to the 1st Battalion, 143rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade prepares for a static-line jump on a Hawaii Air National Guard C-17 Globemaster III, June 14, 2019, over Boboc Drop Zone, Romania. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army Contingency Response Force in Europe, capable of projecting ready forces anywhere in the U.S. European, Africa or Central Commands' areas of responsibility. Hundreds of Soldiers were airdropped by a formation of aircraft from Canada, Italy, Spain, NATO and the U.S. for exercise Swift Response 19. The training events of Swift Response are held to enable regional partners to respond more effectively to regional crises and meet their own national defense goals.
