Originally built as Leichter Panzerjäger 38(t), during WW2 it was mostly known in post-war(WW2) era as Hetzer. It was a German light tank destroyer manufactured in German-occupied Czechoslovakia and introduced in combat service in 1944. Post war, the Swiss formally accepted the first vehicles from Czechoslovakia in October 1946 and were in active service till 1973. These G-13 models are also sometimes referred o as ‘The Swiss Hetzer’. In the Swiss army, these vehicles had the number series of M+78000 to M+78157. Currently it can be seen on display in the tank museum in Thun, Switzerland |
