Deutsch: Joseph-Noël Sylvestre: Locusta testet in Neros Gegenwart das für Britannicus vorbereitete Gift (Locuste essaye, en présence de Néron, le poison préparé pour Britannicus); auf dem Boden windet sich der Sklave, der das Gift zu sich nehmen mußte. Erworben vom Museum von Luxemburg und dem Museum von Amiens in Verwahrung gegeben (déposé, laut La Tribune de l'Art).
English: Joseph-Noël Sylvestre: Locusta testing in Nero's presence the poison prepared for Britannicus (Locuste essaye, en présence de Néron, le poison préparé pour Britannicus); on the ground is the slave who had to try the poison. Acquired by the Museum of Luxembourg and deposited (déposé) at the Museum of Amiens (according to La Tribune de l'Art).
