Description

A male athlete smiles for the camera after running the Marine Corps Mud Run at Camp Pendleton. He wears <a href="http://mentalfloss.com/article/52181/how-effective-eye-black-athletes-wear" rel="noreferrer nofollow">synthetic eye black</a> in an attempt to reduce glare but mostly because they were giving out free stickers to the particpants.

A little over half the guys took their shirts off to rinse the mud off themselves when they got to the spray pad.
