Description

Soviet WW2 era Medium Tank Designer:- Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau (KMDB) Manufacturer:- Various Built:- 1944 to 1958 Total Production:- 48,950 In Service:- 1944 to current Main Armament:- 85mm ZiS-S-53 high-velocity tank gun. The T-34-85 was an improved T-34-76 with a larger turret allowing the 85mm gun to be fitted. The turret armour was much thicker giving improved protection. It was one of the most produced tanks of all time and saw service with over fifty countries. It is still in use today, although it was retired from Soviet service in the late 1960’s. This prestine example is on display in Hall 11 of the Patriot Museum Complex. Park Patriot, Kubinka, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
