Cadet Novak worked at the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center’s Detachment 6 at Nellis for five weeks. He is part of the AFOTEC Mentoring Program that integrates U.S. Air Force Academy cadets into operational test teams during the USAFA’s Cadet Summer Research Program where cadets work on real-world Air Force projects.
