Summary

edit
Description The Kittiwake Light Ship was built by Philip & Sons of Dartmouth between 1957-59. It entered into active service in 1959 and in 1981 was converted to an ‘automatic light float’. It was retired in 2007 when it was offered for sale. For a while it docked at Carlisle Pier in Dun Laoghaire. In June 2008 Harry Crosbie purchased it and moved it to a mooring beside the O2 on the river Liffey. More recently it was sold on to the Dublin Port Company.
