| Description |
English: During operation of a TR 440, the panel optionally shows the current state of the hardware registers: in the topmost group the 48+4 bit Registers of the execution unit (RQ–RS), in the next group the 24 bit registers of the controll unit, notably the program counter BF; the BXB and BU registers are located in the right half of the third group. The state of the switches marked WS (at the bottom) can be tested by the running program. The indicators marked ML are controlled by the running program; they are duplicated as this panel belongs to a dual-processor machine. The switches RK1 and RK2, respectively, chose the processor whose registers’ status be displayed. Most switches are used for hardware tests only, e. g. EINZELBEFEHL (single instruction); the rotary switch Prüffrequenz (bottom right) changes the frequency of the clock signal.
Deutsch: Während des Betriebs eines TR 440 zeigt das Panel wahlweise den aktuellen Status der Hardware-Register: in der oberen Gruppe die großen Rechenwerks-Register RQ–RS, darunter die 24 Bit langen Register des Befehlswerks, insbesondere der Befehlszähler BF; die Register BXB und BU sind in der dritten Gruppe (rechts) angeordnet. Die Stellung der Wahlschalter WS1–WS8 (unten) kann von jedem Programm abgefragt werden. Die Merklichter ML1–ML8 können vom laufenden Programm gesteuert werden; hier sind sie doppelt vorhanden, weil das Panel zu einer Doppelprozessor-Anlage gehört. Das große Tableau zeigt nur die Registerstände eines Prozessors an; mit den Tasten RK1 bzw. RK2 (unten) wählt man aus, welcher das sein soll. Die meisten Schalter werden nur für Hardware-Tests gebraucht, z. B. EINZELBEFEHL; der Drehschalter Prüffrequenz (unten rechts) ändert die Taktfrequenz des Rechnerkerns. |
