Description
日本語: 臺灣製糖株式會社。屏東驛から東南七町にある東洋第一の大製糖會社，資本金六千三百萬圓，明治三十三年の創立にかかり日本に於ける分蜜製糖會社の嚆矢である。本社を屏東に，出張所を東京に設け，砂糖製造販賣を主なる管業目的とし，副業として糖蜜を原料とする酒精を製造してゐる。粗糖の工場は臺灣各地に十三ヶ所，その中耕地白糖を兼營するもの二ヶ所，酒精を製造するもの二ヶ所ある。社有の土地三萬町步に上り，社線鐵道の延長約七〇〇粁，なほ內地には兵庫及び久留米市外の二ヶ所に粗糖を再製して特白糖を製造する精糖工場がある。（見元了，臺北商業學校教諭，臺灣山岳會幹事）
