English: 'si.ru.pan.cha.mu.lam', the ancient Tamil literature's palmleafs portions of no:20 & 21.The time line is between 100-600 A.D.There are 153 palmleafs available in the library. The 37th poetry tells that the beauty of a book's appropriate word is greatest than any visible beauty like hair,breasts,fingernails, ears and teeth .
தமிழ்: தமிழிணையப் பல்கலைக் கழகத்தின் நூலகத்தின், சுவடியகப்பிரிவில் 'சிறுபஞ்சமூலம் ' உள்ளது.இதன் முழு மின்நூல், மதுரைத் திட்டத்தில் கிடைக்கிறது. மொத்த 153 ஓலைகளில், இது 20 மற்றும் 21வதாவது ஒலைகளிலுள்ள, பிரித்தெடுக்கப் பட்ட 37வது பாடல் பகுதியாகும். இங்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ஒலை நறுக்குகளில், 'மயிர்வனப்பும் ...' என்ற பாடல் மட்டும் இருக்கிறது. அப்பாடல் வருமாறு:-
மயிர் வனப்பும் கண்கவரும் மார்பின் வனப்பும் உகிர்வனப்பும் காதின் வனப்பும் - செயிர் தீர்ந்த பல்லின் வனப்பும் வனப்பல்ல நூற்கியைந்த சொல்லின் வனப்பே வனப்பு. இப்பாடல்,'மனிதன் சாதரணமாக மயங்கும் அழகுகளை வர்ணித்து, பின் அவற்றை விட நூலுக்கேற்ற சொல்லழகே சிறந்தது' என்கிறது. |
