English: Telephone kiosk under review Sadly all too common nowadays: this bilingual notice inside the telephone box in Pencelli village advises that it is 'not being used sufficiently to continue the service at this location' and that there will be a 42-day consultation period prior to a final decision on its removal. Whatever the niceties of the process, however, it is unlikely to be reprieved; the mobile 'phone has decimated call box usage even in areas such as this where mobile reception is not very reliable. |
