Italiano: Telescopio rifrattore a montatura equatoriale classica. La montatura è sorretta da una colona cilindrica che scendendo si allarga a formare la base circolare di appoggio Sul tubo del telescopio principale sono montati in parallelo due cannocchiali più piccoli. Uno aveva la funzione di puntatore l'altro veniva utilizzato o per l'inseguimento dell'oggetto osservato o per il montaggio di strumenti di misura ausiliari Una serie di leve posizionate in prossimità dell'oculare consentivano all'osservatore di regolare in modo micrometrico il puntamento anche durante l'osservazione I due cerchi graduati per la lettura delle coordinate sono di diametro relativamente limitato. La presenza di due lenti di ingrandimento e altrettanti nonii facilitavano però la precisione della misura in ascensione retta.
