Description

rue Saint-Antoine, Paris Bâtiment construit de 1632 à 1634 (couvent et église) à l'initiative de la religieuse Jeanne de Chantal, propriétaire et mère supérieure du futur couvent. Le dôme peut être considéré comme une première esquisse des Invalides. Sur les plans de François Mansart, sa construction a été assurée par l'entrepreneur maître-maçon Michel Villedo. Il s'agissait d'une église catholique ("Sainte Marie des anges") qui faisait partie de ce grand couvent (couvent des visitandines) qui s'étendait jusqu'à la Bastille et qui fut confisqué, vendu par lot et détruit à la révolution. Par arrêté du premier consul Bonaparte, l'église fut affectée au culte réformé le 3 décembre 1802.

Actuellement, plusieurs cultes y ont lieux : culte réformé classique, culte de l'Église protestante japonaise, culte protestant en langue arabe et cultes réformés simplifiés
