Description
English: Tension-shear test.

Curves strength as a function of crosshead displacement; obtained directly from a tensile tester with a dynamometer; results from 3 samples of adhesive between 2 steel sheets (3 lap joints).
The aim is to determine the maximum strength (average found: ~1.55 kN) to calculate the breaking resistance in shear (unit MPa).

Note: the joints of adhesive breaked at ~0.5 mm crosshead displacement.

Courbes force-déplacement de la traverse, obtenues directement à partir d'une machine de traction dotée d'un dynamomètre, à partir de 3 échantillons d'adhésif testés en traction-cisaillement (cas d'un joint d'adhésif entre 2 tôles d'acier).
Le but est de déterminer la force maximale (moyenne relevée : ~1,55 kN) pour calculer la résistance à la rupture en cisaillement (en MPa).

Note : les joints d'adhésif se sont rompus à ~0,5 mm de déplacement traverse.
