Nederlands: Deze tentoonstelling werd geopend in december 1943. Ze was te zien op de derde omgang in het museum van het Koloniaal Instituut. Onderwerp op deze foto is de protestantse zending in Suriname door de Evangelische Broedergemeente (Zeist). Het Zeister Zendingsgenootschap (ZZg) bestaat al meer dan 200 jaar. Daarmee is het de oudste zendingsorganisatie van Nederland. De geschiedenis van het ZZg gaat terug tot de hernhutter Broedergemeente, die zijn wortels vindt in de vijftiende eeuw in Tsjechië. Vanuit dat land zijn in het begin van de achttiende eeuw (geloofs)vluchtelingen naar Duitsland uitgeweken. In het dorp Herrnhut ontstond onder leiding van de Graaf von Zinzendorf een hechte geloofsgemeenschap.Van hieruit werd een groot aantal zendingspioniers uitgezonden over de hele wereld.
