English: Teri’i Tari’a II Ari‘i-paea-vahine Pomare-vahine, Ari‘irahi of Huahine and Pare-Arue (1790-1858), commonly called Pomare-vahine or Ari'ipaea-vahine. Wife of King Pomare II of Tahiti and later Ari'ipaea. Regent for her step-son King Pomare III 1821 to 1827, eldest daughter of Tamatoa IV of Raiatea, along with her sister Teriitooterai Teremoemoe. This is from a montage of 25 small photographs and paintings of members of the Tahitian royal family, titled La Famille Royale de Tahiti, created by Madame Sophia Hoare in 1885, based upon an earlier engraving of the queen and her sister made by Ambroise Tardieu.. |
