Description
Português: As Termas dos Cucos situam-se nos subúrbios de Torres Vedras, a 2 Kms da cidade, junto à Estrada Nacional nº 9, a caminho de Runa.

A utilização das águas e lamas dos Cucos começou em 1746, contudo, só em 1866 foi nomeada uma Comissão que procedeu a estudos preliminares sobre as Águas Minerais do Reino e onde figuravam as nascentes dos Cucos.

Duas décadas depois chega a Torres Vedras o primeiro comboio da linha do Oeste e é projectada a construção do complexo termal.

Memória de uma época em que o Termalismo se afirmava um pouco por toda a Europa, desvendam-nos as Termas do Cucos o romântico cenário de finais do Século XIX. Embora presentemente encerradas, visitá-las é viajar no tempo, de regresso a 1893, ano de que data o conjunto arquitectónico constituído por Balneário, "Buvette", Hotel, "Challets" e Casino.

O ambiente é dominado pelo jogo de luz que se insinua entre colunas, varandas e balaustradas, reflectindo-se no lago do jardim, entre palmeiras e outras árvores de grande porte. <a href="https://www.guiadacidade.pt/pt/poi-termas-dos-cucos-20379" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.guiadacidade.pt/pt/poi-termas-dos-cucos-20379</a>
