Patio du musée d'art moderne de Céret (MAMC)

L'extension du premier musée a été conçue par l'architecte barcelonais Jaume Freixa. Le bâtiment s'intègre habilement dans le tissu urbain, il dispose de salles d'exposition spacieuses jouissant d'un éclairage naturel d'une grande qualité.

Cet architecte a travaillé avec l'architecte Josep Lluís Sert qui a conçu la fondation Miro à Barcelone et la fondation Maeght à Saint-Paul de Vence. Dans les deux bâtiments, la captation de la lumière naturelle est une grande réussite.
