Nederlands: NIET-RESIDERENDE AMBASSADEUR VAN THAILAND BIEDT KOPIE GELOOFSBRIEVEN AAN MINISTER RAMDIN

Suriname en Thailand onderhouden sinds 1987 diplomatieke banden. In de huidige relatie met Thailand zal vooralsnog de nadruk worden gelegd op de bevordering van de samenwerking op het gebied van landbouw (rijst), mijnbouw (goud en ruwe olie), handel en investeringen, alsmede trainingen en beurzen.

Tegen de achtergrond hiervan zal ernaar gestreefd worden gezamenlijk te werken aan het formuleren en implementeren van een nationaal plan voor de promotie en bevordering van wederzijdse business opportuniteiten en andere potentiele vormen van samenwerking gerelateerd aan gemeenschappelijke interesse en belang.

De Premier van Thailand, Z.E. Prayut Chan-ocha, heeft gelukswensen aangeboden aan de Regering en het Volk van Suriname in verband met de viering van 45 jaar Staatkundige Onafhankelijkheid van Suriname.
