Als Unrecht geschah, haben viele mitgemacht aus Verblendung oder weil es ihr Vorteil war. Als Unrecht geschah, haben viele weggeschaut aus Angst oder weil sie ihre Ruhe haben wollten. An dieser Stelle sollte nach dem Wunsch der nationalsozialistischen Obrigkeit ein Ehrenhain errichtet werden. Wir ehren gerade an diesem Platz jene, die nicht ihren Vorteil im Auge hatten und ihre Angst überwanden. Drei Gemeindebürger büßten ihren Widerstand gegen das NS-Regime mit dem Tod. Und wir gedenken jener fünf Opfer, die in Vernichtungsprogramm der Euthanasie ihr Leben verloren.
