Had a little storm blow by last night, caught this little bolt. My father passed away in 2010. Since then I've had a belief that he is still looking down on me from above, and every so often he sends me signs to let me know he's still around. I can't explain it, but every now and then I get signs and I think this bolt was one of them. Looking at the shot in post I saw several hot spots that I needed to clone out. It's just a thing that happens sometimes, especially with longer duration shots and easy enough to fix. Until this shot. If you look up in the upper third you'll see a greenish spot. If you zoom you can see that it resembles an outline of an eye. Reminded me of something that you might see on an Egyptian tablet. OK, we've cloned the hot spots, let's clone that out. Nay, nay, it wasn't meant to be. It tried several different ways and several different saves but for some reason I cannot clone this out. It will not go away so I'm taking it as a sign that my Pops sent me this bolt as a gift and wants to put his own sort of watermark on it. You can say what you like and you can believe what you believe but for me this is just a confirmation that all is right with the world and I'm doing the right thing. Thanks for the shot Pops! |
