The Pirates of Academia: they have taken so much from the stakeholders of science and have given it to the shareholders.

Summary

Description
English: - The Pirates of Academia:

- There are so many components of academia that actually do not belong to the stakeholders of science (STAKEHOLDERS). Surprisingly these components were included because they were considered to provide quality/reputation values to academia. Some of these components are: a publication component with various self-serving metrics, ranking, indexing services/scientific databases. - Instead of doing that, so far they have actually sucked in countless resources (human, funds, energy, time) from academics. These resources are transformed into profits which then flow to the shareholders (SHAREHOLDERS). Not unlike the pirates (pirates) who intercept valuable ships and take over their ownership.

- I give you The Pirates of Academia.
Bahasa Indonesia: - The Pirates of Academia:

- I give you The Pirates of Academia.
