English: The 2013 Federal Inter-Agency Holocaust Remembrance Day, at the Lincoln Theater, on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in Washington, D.C. The moderator is United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Division of the Senior Historian Director Peter Black, Ph.D., at podium or seated on left, and the guest speakers, left to right, are Theresienstadt Concentration Camp Czech Jewish Holocaust Survivor Ela Stein-Weissberger, and German Jewish Holocaust Survivor Inge Auerbacher; and Dachau Concentration Camp Liberator Jimmy Gentry. Since the 1979 President’s Commission on the Holocaust, an annual proclamation signed by the President of the United States recognizes the importance of remembering the atrocities of the Holocaust that should never be forgotten or be ignored.
