Summary edit

Description
English: The Black Friar, Queen Victoria Street, London. The Black Friar has stood here since about 1905, and appears to be receiving a little TLC. It is good to see this Art Nouveau pub has survived among so much modernity. On comparing this photograph with 515653 of 1979, the observant will notice there has been a lowering of the level of the railway since then: this is because it now passes underneath Ludgate Hill rather than over it as previously.
