English: The Black Lion Hotel, Aberteifi/Cardigan Starting as a single-roomed grogshop in 1105, the Black Lion in Cardigan High Street became one of the first coaching inns in Wales, a significant point on the route between north and south. It was also a gentleman's residence in the 17th century. Behind and to the side were a coachhouse and mews for stabling horses. |
