Summary

Description
English: The Boat and The Barley Mow. These public houses would have been beside the Oxford Canal when built, hence the slightly curving building line. When the new bypass route was built the length of canal past their frontages was filled in and became a lane, however the pubs survived. The modern day line of the canal can just be seen at the end of the lane, still within a reasonable staggering distance of both establishments!
