English: The Book Shop, Ruthin The book shop on Upper Clwyd Street was once a tavern, and brewery, called "The Spread Eagle" as shown on the other sign hanging on the front. It ceased to be a tavern in 1915. The spread eagle was part of the arms of the Goodman family and the building dates back to the 15th century. |
